As we promote the diversity value among our employees, we embrace each other’s differences in social and cultural background. In Malaysia Airports, senior management hired are mostly from the local community, coming from different backgrounds of race, religion, culture and social values. We offer the same employment and promotion opportunities to everyone with the establishment of mixed team based on diversity.
We have over 10,000 employees across Malaysia. We put very high priority on customer satisfaction. We therefore continue to work hard to improve our service profile to provide more comfort to passengers travelling through our airports.
MAHB has a strong emphasis on occupational safety and health (OSH) to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our workforce by conducting wellness programmes every year to encourage employees to follow a healthy lifestyle
We also understand the indispensable role of parents and other adult caregivers in raising and taking care of their children. Since 2016, a child-care center and kindergarten has been made available near the Corporate Office, for our employees to send their children
We encourage a culture of transparency at the workplace, and we gather employee feedback through Employee Engagement Survey (EES) which is conducted by an independent third party on a regular basis
We strive to strengthen our relationship with local communities by actively engaging with them and providing effective channels of communication wherein we are able to understand their concerns and needs. In conjunction with Malaysia Airports’ 25th Anniversary, we commenced community projects (e.g. High Fliers Programme) that explored new opportunities and partnerships towards building resilience in our surrounding communities
We offer our employees bonuses, medical coverage, insurance benefits and the employee provident fund scheme. Additionally, we provide financial assistance and subsidies to eligible employees. The types of financial assistance include housing loan, vehicle loan, festival loan, school advance, employee education assistance scheme, scholarship and zakat19 contribution to eligible and deserving employees and their family members. These benefits, which are made available to our permanent employees have proven to be a key factor in retaining talent at Malaysia Airports.
Equal Employment Opportunities
We provide equal opportunity and do not discriminate based on gender, age, religion and physical disabilities.
At Malaysia Airports, we recognize the importance of encouraging women at the workplace and have taken measures towards this. Some of our initiatives include catering to the needs of pregnant women to ensure their safety. A number of parking spaces have been allocated for them near the lobby, to reduce walking distance to the office. Furthermore, 100% of our employees are entitled to get parental leave regardless of gender.
